It's been 40-50 degrees and raining all winter here in Grumpy Cat Hug Dungeon I’m Not Antisocial I Rolled Low On Charisma Shirt Northern Virginia. I think it's snowed once and that was gone the following day when it got warm. Having experienced some pretty intense winters here, it's been pretty interesting, to say the least. I live in WNC, around 2800 ft. Had to mow my grass in January. Daffodils and crocuses up as of a weak ago. Nice that my fresh herbs are still going through. Chives for my omelet in February. As someone who moved to NC from FL and is now experiencing this kind of "winter" up here too, I'm so over this bullshit. Still better than the 89 degrees my family back home experienced today. We had a swing like that in the Midwest last night, except it went from 0 to -48 with windchill in less than 24 hours. It’s extreme even for people who have lived their entire lives here. Offices and schools closed due to extreme temperatures. Just goes to show why global climate change is such a better name than global warming.

I'm like 95% sure I stumbled across my manager's reddit account a couple months ago. There were numerous points in a post I read that lined up perfectly with things he had been talking about at work for a couple of weeks before hand, and the word use and tone matched his speaking pretty perfectly, not to mention the account name was fitting. It was super weird reading through the post and having this slow realization that it was him. I do agree that slow reading, especially in case of novels, allows you to enjoy more the experience and assimilate every sentence. Also it enables me to fully imagine the situation described and "feel" the character's emotions.
